Crispy bacon, soft shell crab and veggies piled high on sourdough

An end of the work week deserves a lunch to set the tone of the weekend ahead- something indulgent that brings a smile to your face. Such a dish can be found tucked off Kaliste Saloom Road at Brick & Spoon Restaurant.

The menu is full of bold breakfast and brunch options, but lunch fare could easily be eaten at 9 a.m. should you choose.

The soft shell crab BLT is one of those dishes - how can you resist the harmonious combination of bacon and soft shell crab? You can't.

Soft shell crab, bacon and vegies piled high on sourdough bread

The sandwich starts with a soft shell crab coated in cornmeal and cooked crispy and piled on sourdough bread with pecan smoked bacon, spring mix, tomato and a sundried tomato aioli for $18.50.

It's possible something this good will make it difficult to return to work post-lunch break.

Need another reason to try Brick & Spoon? How about a birthday - Brick & Spoon is celebrating it's first year of business this week, so be sure to tell the staff congratulations.

When the sun goes down, the kitchen doesn't stop as Brick & Spoon serves dinner Friday and Saturday evenings with live music starting at 6 p.m.
