A few of my favorite things: Summer must haves

by Amanda Bedgood

Pieces for every occasion

If this IND Styler could come up with a hashtag for what I seek in my wardrobe choices it might be #versatility. I love pieces I can wear a thousand different ways for the thousand different hats I wear. Isn't that what we're all doing, ladies?  Looking for wardrobe pieces that fit all five of our personalities. I've rounded up three essentials for your summer wardrobe that happen to be a few of my favorite things around town about now.

The stretchy pencil skirt - I'm really into stripes right now and this stretchy little pencil skirt from Brother's is that rare find you can wear year round. Style it funky like this pic with a little moto-inspired topper or throw on with just a tank and wedges. Add a little bright blazer and high heels for luncheons and work and if you're feeling brave try it with a bold print.

The go everywhere dress - This new shape by Viereck at Vanessa V. is that throw and go dress that no one will ever know is so easy to wear - it looks that good. The sort of dress you can wear (with a bra!) to everything from church to a festival to dressed up for work and dressed down for lunch dates. In a tribal print it's also calling to this boho lovers heart.

The killer maxi skirt - This Show Me Your Mumu skirt found at Hemline is how the maxi goes statement. In a fantastic bold blue print and with a sexy little slit this is the maxi skirt you can wear with uber flat sandals or wedges and dress up with a demure little top or down with a funky t-shirt.
