Beautiful weather Friday night enhanced Lamson Park's electric atmosphere, making even sweeter the Ragin' Cajuns softball team's 5-3 victory over Arizona in Game 1 of the Super Regional.

UL and Arizona square off again Saturday at 2 p.m. A UL victory would clinch a Women's College World Series appearance. An if-necessary game would commence 45 minutes after Game 2.

Can't make it Lamson Park today? Catch the game on ESPNU or KPEL 1420 AM.

IND contributing photographer Buddy Delahoussaye captured some of the best moments of the night (including the sold-old crowd of 2,691, among whom were head football coach Mark Hudspeth, UL President Joe Savoie and former UL softball head coach Yvette Girouard, in the house to cheer her former team to victory).
