LA GOP threatens TV stations over ad

The state Republican Party is threatening legal action against some two dozen Louisiana television stations for airing an attack ad against Congressman Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge.

The state Republican Party is threatening legal action against some two dozen Louisiana television stations for airing an attack ad against Congressman Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge. The ads, produced by the Senate Majority PAC, a super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, have run on stations across Louisiana.

The state GOP obviously doesn't want to mention the content of ad in question, but it does reference FactCheck.org, which slammed the ad for being misleading, if not outright false. The ad accuses Cassidy of trying to set up a "government-run" health care system in Louisiana similar to Obamacare back when he was a state senator. Senate Majority PAC hasn't uploaded the ad to its YouTube channel yet, but you can see it here at FactCheck's piece on the ad.
