ABBEVILLE, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police have arrested two more people who investigators say helped one of the men accused in the Monday shooting death of an off-duty Vermilion Parish sheriff's deputy.
Detectives determined that 28-year-old Miguel Comeaux and 24-year-old Quintygi Richard, both of Abbeville, helped 20-year-old Quintylan Richard elude capture on the day the shooting occurred.
Comeaux and Quintygi Richard were booked Tuesday night into the parish jail on a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Bond information was not immediately available. It was not known if either was represented by an attorney.
Quintylan Richard, the suspected triggerman, and 20-year-old Baylon Taylor were arrested earlier Tuesday in the slaying of 51-year-old Deputy Allen Bares (BAR'-ez) Jr.
The case remains under investigation.
