EatLafayette Dish of the Day: La Fonda's grilled tuna

by Kari Walker

A refreshing twist at a Lafayette institution comes served with a black bean salad stuffed avocado

La Fonda and Lafayette have been synonymous for years when it comes to the place to find friends and a frosty liter of margaritas. Known for traditional Mexican dishes like enchiladas, tamales and a super stuffed Chile Relleno, La Fonda is also really good at grilling.

Today's dish of the day feature is the grilled tuna steak served a garlic herb butter. The perfect piece of Yellowfin tuna comes served with a side of potato casserole and a colorful avocado stuffed with a black bean salad. This is the perfect way to enjoy summer at La Fonda - well, and with a swirled margarita with sangria for sipping. This dish is available for lunch or dinner for $18.75.
