Police say a homeowner noticed from across the street someone entering is home late Sunday night.
They say the homeowner went to his home and confronted the alleged burglar through a window.
Cpl. Nicole Benoit says the homeowner fired several shots, the suspect ran from the home and the homeowner fired two more shots.
Benoit says the suspect was found dead in the home's backyard. Police have not released the names of the homeowner or the alleged burglar.
