Count-down begins for Courtesy Automotive's arrival in Broussard

by Patrick Flanagan

Broussard will soon be the site of a new Courtesy Automotive dealership.

Broussard will soon be the site of what Courtesy Automotive calls the "ultimate buying experience" with the opening of a new state-of-the-art dealership there later this month.

"Aside from being the fastest growing city in Acadiana, the Broussard area presents such a unique opportunity because it's centrally located right where Iberia, Lafayette, and St. Martin parishes all meet," says Don Hargroder Sr., Courtesy Automotive Group's founder and owner, in a press release announcing the expansion.

The new dealership sits on 15 acres along U.S. 90 in Broussard, and will specialize in the sale and service of new and pre-owned Cadillacs and Chevys.

For the past six years, Courtesy has been the No. 1 GM dealer in Louisiana, according to GM data. The company, which had revenues of $298 million in 2011 (up from $223 million in 2010) and ranked No. 9 on ABiz's list of Acadiana's Top 50 Privately Held Companies, has more than 300 employees.
