Abysmally low participation by the public has prompted the council to scuttle the 2014 survey with plans to simplify it and try again next year.

 

It's back to the drawing board for the Lafayette Parish Public Education Stakeholders Council and its ambitious survey to gauge the public's views of the Lafayette Parish School Board.

LaPESC rolled out Project Involve last May, both online and through distribution at board meetings, but abysmally low participation by the public has prompted the council to scuttle the 2014 survey with plans to simplify it and try again next year, according to The Advocate.
