UL names new VP of University Advancement

UL Lafayette has named John Blohm vice president of University Advancement.

The school’s University Advancement division is charged with enhancing UL Lafayette’s image, as well as alumni involvement and maintaining information on alumni, donors and friends of the university.

Blohm, who assumed his role at UL on Jan. 5, previously worked as the interim vice president for advancement at the University of New Haven.

“John is an accomplished advancement professional. He brings extensive knowledge of development and plans to improve operations to maximize fundraising and outreach across the University,” says UL President Dr. Joseph Savoie in a recent blog. “He is eager to advance the University’s growing national reputation and he has expressed interest in further developing a ‘culture of giving’ at UL Lafayette.”
