ADVOCATE: ALWAYS MIDNIGHT AT BOBBY'S HOUSE
APR 28 The Advocate says Bobby Jindal has forgotten what buoyed his (political) idol, Ronald Reagan, to power: optimism. Instead of following the Gipper's creation of a mood of morning-time optimism, Bobby's trying to make things seem dark and scary, the editorial argues. So far, the paper opines, "that brand of paranoia" isn't gaining any traction for him.

APR 28 When the Fox reality competition show MasterChef airs again next month, three Louisiana cooks will be among the hopefuls, the Picayune reports here. The show is judged by (screamer) Gordon Ramsay and Graham Elliot, with the new addition of Christina Tosi, chef and co-owner of Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC, and creator of the infamous Crack Pie.

WHAT'S UP WITH THAT DELAHOUSSAYE CASE
APR 28 Here's the latest from Louisiana Voice about the case of Corey delaHoussaye, an FBI informant and contractor with Livingston Parish. The parish's DA wants to try him for falsifying public records, but a judge threw out the case, the blog reports. Meanwhile, delaHoussaye had to sue the parish to get the final payment on his contract, but he did get it.

APR 28 While the head of LSU spent the weekend mapping out a bankruptcy plan for the state's flagship university system, Bobby Jindal was up in Iowa begging 100 holy-rolling yankees to vote for him for president, the NOLA Defender blog reports here. Think he asked them to pray for us?
