Castille announces re-election bid

City-Parish Councilman Jay Castille of Carencro says he plans to seek a third term on the council in the October election.

Castille, who represents District 2 in north Lafayette Parish, is a retired firefighter who serves as the city manager for Carencro and also as a private land developer. His civic and professional memberships include the Carencro Business Association, Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation, past president of Gateway Kiwanis, chairman of the board for Maple Federal Credit Union, member of Louisiana Municipal Association, Acadian Home Builders Association, Louisiana Police Jury Association and the Professional Fire Fighters Association of Louisiana.

“I am very humble and thankful for the opportunity to continue serving as your District 2 councilman,” Castille says in a release announcing his bid. “I humbly ask for your support for another four years.”
