What to BUY for the Smoky Breaux's BBQ Championship this weekend comes in a lineup of staple pieces for every summertime wardrobe — the romper, the easy dress and the printed shorts.

The must have new shape of the last few seasons has certainly been the romper. We love this easy one from Hemline in a versatile print and easy cut. Wear with flat Birks or wedges.

The wear everywhere little dress in chambray goes easily from summer into fall with a jacket. This one from Amor is comfy for all day BBQ's and just right with fringe-decked little sandals.

The soft printed short is a great summertime basic that's anything but basic. We love the colors on this pair from Vanessa V. that wear well with a simple solid tank and a straw fedora.

Join a bevy of laid back folks June 13 at Smoky Breaux's BBQ in the Parc State Championship at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge to raise awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury. The even from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. includes a hefty dose of (of course) BBQ as well as fun jumps, face painting and live music. Admission is free.

Looking for more options to chill this weekend? Check out ArtWalk Saturday night at 6 p.m. all around downtown from Mon Reve Salon where you'll see art by Jake Kora to Gallery 333 on Monroe Street where you can see incredible local pieces by artists who are also residents of the recently revamped space.
