AUG 6 Mother Jones pokes a little fun at Bobby Jindal's efforts to beef up in this post. Last fall he was talking about putting on weight and working out, and now there's some silly video online showing him doing pushups or some such nonsense. Like Bobby's problem is that he's skinny. Yeah - that's it. That's all that's wrong with him.

JIM BROWN ON THOSE DANG FURNERS
AUG 6 Jim Brown is blogging about illegal immigrants and NOLA this week. The city doesn't seem to care about immigration laws, he says, and that's a travesty. Yeah, we wouldn't want people with a different heritage than north Louisiana rednecks walking around. They might want to play their own music, cook their own food, and speak a language other than English. On the school grounds, even.

LANNY SAYS BOBBY'S NOT DONE HURTING PO FOLK YET
AUG 6 Bobby Jindal apparently doesn't think he's done enough damage to poor people, so he's taking aim at Planned Parenthood, columnist Lanny Keller writes in this post. That's assuming, of course, that Bobby's intent is to do anything other than attract right wing nuts to his floundering, flailing, pathetic excuse for a presidential campaign.

AUG 6 The Red Shtick brings us up to date on what our pal (and yours, as long as you're an old rich white guy or an obedient barefoot white woman) Woody Jenkins is up to over in Baton Rouge. Sadly, it's still Baton Rouge and not the lily-white kingdom of St. George. But hey, you can't have everything.

OFFICIAL DRINKING GAME RULES FOR THE DEBATE
AUG 6 If you don't think you can enjoy the debate solely on the lunacy bound to spout forth from the might and majesty of the Republican Party - such as it is - Rolling Stone has some assistance in this post. It's the official drinking game rules for the prestigious event. And just think - even if you're really hung over tomorrow, you still won't feel as bad as ole Bobby Jindal.

IF THIS IS TRUE, HE MIGHT WANT TO START PACKING HIS CRAP
AUG 6 Jeremy Alford speculates as to Buddy Caldwell's chances of re-election as Attorney General. Caldwell, a Republican for a whole four years now, could be in trouble if he can't capture the D vote, Alford opines. Maybe, maybe not. He certainly has been acting like a Republican lately - and that's not going to get him any D votes.
Thursday's Blogs from the Bog!
Bobby thinks the problem is that he's too skinny. Huh. Also today, Jim Brown don't have no truck with furners, and Rolling Stone has the rules for the GOP debate drinking game!
