Tattoed Walls returns to Festival International

by Mary Tutwiler

Gather an audience, put a group of artists and musicians on the spot and what do you get? A spontaneous happening of visual and musical creativity called Tatooed Walls. The Acadiana Center for the Arts is the location for the outdoors event this Saturday evening from 8-10 p.m. during Festival International. Visual artists Kathy Reed, David Alpha, Brian Guidry, Mare Martin, Troy Dugas and Ralph Bourque, spurred on by musicians Dickie Landry, John Gargano, Steven Breaux and Scot Sinclair and Leah Graeff will create pieces projected onto the external walls of the ACA. Last year the series of ephemeral artworks was a hit of the festival. For more information, call 233-7060 or click here to go to the ACA website.
