In search of Secret Sets

This Wednesday, MA'AM Records and Ind Events are teaming up to present a special performance from Seattle-based artist Tomo Nakayama and Lafayette’s own Kind Cousin in an all acoustic and battery-operated musical experience.

This Wednesday, MA'AM Records and Ind Events are teaming up to present a special performance from Seattle-based artist Tomo Nakayama and Lafayette’s own Kind Cousin in an all acoustic and battery-operated musical experience.

This one-time show is dubbed “Secret Sets” as its location is being withheld from the public until the day of the show when it will be revealed to patient ticket holders.

Secret Sets follows in the tradition of creating intimate, local musical experiences like the one created last fall of when the collaborators of Kind Cousin including Allison Bohl DeHart, Peter DeHart, Leah Graeff, Christiaan Mader, Jessie Lalonde and Chad Viator held their album release show in the Acadian Village Chapel.

Joining Kind Cousin in this unique secret performance is Tomo Nakayama, a singer/instrumentalist/songwriter/producer hailing from Seattle, Washington, who is known for his crystalline high-tenor voice and intricate chamber folk compositions, which has has been praised by the likes of NPR the New York Times who have drawn comparisons to Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Paul Simon, and Sigur Ros.
