Neutrals don't have to be boring. And, yes, you can wear navy and black together. (Don't argue with us.) Today here at Workin' it Wednesday we are looking at how to jazz up those navy pants and the best way to combine it with black.

Today while minding my own business eating beignets at Mortar & Pestle (don't mind the powdered sugar on my pants) I ran into the ever-fashionable Lindsey Falgout on her way to work. She combined a neutral trio of grey shirt with classic, yet on-trend pleated navy pants with a black belt and shoe.

When combining black and navy start with solids rather than prints. I love the way she added the muted charcoal on top. The pointy flats give is an effortless, yet chic, vibe and the gold accents in her earrings and on her belt are just the way to finish a look with no fuss.
