Silverbacks take on musical improv

Local improv comedy troupe the Silverbacks Improv Theatre will leap into the thrilling and terrifying world of musical improv on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at Theatre 810 in Downtown Lafayette.

This January, local improv comedy troupe the Silverbacks Improv Theatre will leap into the thrilling and terrifying world of musical improv. The improvisers will play a series of musical games, and end by creating a completely-made-up on-the-spot Improvised Musical. If you love musicals, or love to poke fun at musicals, don’t miss this one-time event.

The Silverbacks Improv Theatre mixes special improvised brews for audiences across the U.S. Favorite improv creations include Film Noirs, 90's Sitcoms, and Sci-Fi's. The Silverbacks are always energetic, nerd-tastic, and not afraid of costumes. The Silverbacks consists of members who have trained and performed in places as far as Mississippi, Texas, Illinois, California, and D.C. with a combined total of over 75 years of improv experience.

The Silverbacks Musical Improv begins at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Theatre 810, located at 810 Jefferson St. in Downtown Lafayette. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students.
