Aaron Lozier has joined Web site design, development and marketing firm Comit Technologies LLC as lead programmer. Lozier is in charge of all custom coding, development and implementation of Web-based software used by Comit, including the creation of a new content management system. Lozier brings has more than five years of Web development and marketing experience. Before joining Comit, Lozier was a project manager and developer for a leading online lighting retailer based in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and has designed, managed and consulted for dozens of Web sites since graduating in 2002.

Janice Landry has re-joined MidSouth Bank as retail store manager of its Breaux Bridge banking center. Landry has 29 years of experience, previously managing Whitney Bank's Johnston Street branch. Before that, she spent 15 years at MidSouth Bank ' working her way up to retail store manager and then training director. In her new role, Landry will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Breaux Bridge location and develop new business in that market. Kelly LeBlanc has joined the bank as retail store manager of its banking facility on Camellia Boulevard, located on the bottom floor of River Ranch's Onebane Law Firm building. She will oversee the day-to-day operations of the corporate-style retail store. LeBlanc previously worked as a branch manager for Fidelity Bank in Baton Rouge and has more than five years of banking experience. She has a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Arkansas.

Bart C. Boyer and Dalie S. Eldridge have been promoted to vice presidents at Teche Federal Bank. Boyer is responsible for the overall retail efforts of the bank's Central Region which includes branches in Lafayette, Breaux Bridge, Opelousas, Eunice, Baton Rouge and Prairieville. He has 18 years of banking and management experience and is a resident of New Iberia. Eldridge is the mortgage loan support manager at the New Iberia operations center located at 1120 Jefferson Terrace Blvd. She has been with Teche for 15 years and has 30 years of banking experience. Also at Teche, Brandy L. Serrette and Debbie M. Lancon have been promoted to assistant vice presidents. Serrette has been with Teche Federal for 12 years and is the branch sales and service manager of the Breaux Bridge branch located at 601 E. Bridge Street. She graduated from UL Lafayette with a bachelor's degree in business management and is a Louisiana Notary. Lancon, who has been with Teche for 30 years, serves as accounting clerk III in the accounting department at the bank's operation center. The bank also announced that Chris Brown, Cindy F. North and Donna Miller have been promoted to banking officers. Brown is a commercial loan officer at the Lafayette Broadmoor branch located at 5121 Johnston St. He has bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from UL Lafayette and an MBA from LSU. North, who joined Teche in 2003, serves as marketing coordinator and works out of the New Iberia operations center. Miller has been with Teche Federal for three years and is the commercial loan assistant at the Broadmoor branch.

Chris Mahoney, owner of Mahoney-Baus Agency LLC at 4007 West Congress St., has been recognized by Allstate Insurance Company for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitability. The Mahoney-Baus Agency is now among the top 10 percent of Allstate agencies in the nation in auto, property, commercial insurance and financial service sales. Company officials will attend Allstate's National Conference in May 2007, where they will be recognized by the top officers of the company. The Mahoney-Baus Agency has also been awarded the distinctive Allstate Honor Ring award, Allstate's symbol of outstanding achievement.

Doug Keller has been promoted to vice president of marketing and business development for the Knight companies. Keller was regional manager ' Gulf Coast for the last three years and prior to that served as business development manager for six years. He has been with Knight for 18 years and has more than 35 years of oil and gas industry experience. Keller's new role is to facilitate the growth of all Knight companies. He will work with a corporate goal of establishing target accounts in new markets, identifying possible acquisitions and researching additional product lines.

Cydra Wingerter has joined the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce as its operations manager. She is responsible for the coordination of the chamber staff and committees, in addition to overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations. Wingerter graduated from UL Lafayette with a bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. Originally from Oklahoma, she has lived in Lafayette since 1996. Prior to joining the chamber, she served as the recruiting manager of Westaff in Lafayette and the general manager of Bella Figura Restaurant.

KLFY TV-10 was named Louisiana's small market Television Station of the Year for the second year in a row by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for its outstanding service to the community. Since 1998, this is the 6th time KLFY has been bestowed with this honor, according to KLFY General Manager Mike Barras. Also honored was David Sobek for his distinguished service to the broadcasting industry. Senior director at TV 10, Sobek has been with the station for 30 years. KLFY is one of 10 stations owned by Young Broadcasting Inc., headquartered in New York.

The National Fraternal Congress of America recently recognized David N. Halle, a member of Catholic Life Insurance, Lafayette/South Louisiana Branch #33, as a Fraternal MVP. Fraternal MVPs are "Fraternalists-in-Action" who volunteer their time and energy to strengthen their communities through participation in local lodge activities and other charitable endeavors. For the last three years, Halle's branch has put together food baskets and purchased toys for needy families at Christmas. It has focused its efforts on helping religious education programs and supporting local parishes. Recently, like many Americans, the branch turned its efforts to helping those displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Besides gathering clothes, sleeping bags and blankets for the Cajun Dome evacuation center, members gave the gift of time by assisting in one of the many shelters set up following the storm.

SportsGiant LLC, a division of SG Commerce LLC of Carlsbad, Calif., has purchased Lafayette's EPuck.com Inc., which operates the www.Epuck.com hockey specialty online store. Over the past eight years, EPuck built a unique online hockey specialty Web store. Its new owners say they will be able to add value to Epuck.com customers through enhanced product procurement and selection, marketing and order fulfillment capabilities. SportsGiant LLC owns and operates the highly successful hockey specialty web store www.HockeyGiant.com.
