Cedric Watson on tap for Bach Lunch Friday

Bach Lunch goes old-school Creole on Good Friday in Parc Sans Souci Downtown as acclaimed songwriter-accordionist-fiddler Cedric Watson takes the stage at noon for an hour of free music.

Watson has toured the world and performed and collaborated with some of the biggest names in Louisiana indigenous music over the last five years. His Cedric Watson Trio continues a tradition of fusing sounds and eras that unite Louisiana generations and races.

The concert is free and lunches — $6 apiece; $1 extra for a soft drink or water — sold benefit the Lafayette Science Museum Foundation. Friday's lunches feature fare from Chick-Fil-A, Deano’s Pizza and Zea’s Rotiserie & Grill.
