Cajun baseball playing now; softball at 7 p.m. in Houston

The UL Lafayette baseball team's Thursday game against the University of South Alabama in the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship at Tigue Moore Field was postponed until 10 a.m. this morning due to torrential rain. UL is seeded sixth in the tournament, and South Alabama seventh. At 11:10 a.m., the game was in the top of the fourth, the Cajuns leading 2 to 1 with five hits. If the rains hold off, the loser plays UNO again this afternoon at 5 p.m. and the winner at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. UL defeated Troy in its opening game Wednesday, and South Alabama beat UNO. The Cajuns had 14 hits in the game.

UL's women square off against the Houston Cougars at 7 p.m. in Houston in a best-of-three Super Regional series.
