Hugfest raises $1K+ for brain injury nonprofit

This year Connie Collins chose as the beneficiary of Hugfest the Brain Injury Association of America — a nonprofit dear to her heart.

On April 2, Lafayette resident Connie Collins hosted her annual fundraiser, Hugfest, to raise money for a worthy cause. With donated equipment from Acadiana Fun Jumps and a raffle of locally donated art work and gift certificates, the event raised $1025.

This year Collins chose as the beneficiary of Hugfest the Brain Injury Association of America — a nonprofit dear to her heart: Collins’ nephew, Danny “Paco” Collins, survived a traumatic brain injury.
