Housed in a 19th century inn, Café V offers an historic atmosphere with a seasonal menu offering fresh selections like its signature dish the Louis XIII, which is a prime six ounce filet mignon stuffed with Louisiana crawfish tails, bacon and cheeses finished with a wild mushroom demi-glace and crawfish mornay sauce and served with brabant mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. Café V also has a stunning courtyard area that offers live music to its diners during its seasonal Courtyard Concert Series in the Spring and Fall.

Check out Nash’s and its 19th century mansion atmosphere, which offers dishes that honor old-style Italian cooking. One of Nash’s standout dishes is the Veal and Spinach Cannelloni that couples fresh spinach and ground veal cooked in olive oil with Parmesan and ricotta cheese, which is then stuffed into a homemade cannelloni shell then topped with Nash’s marinara sauce and served with Fettuccine Alfredo.

This traditional pizzeria is known for its thin, cracker crust and for making all of its dough and sauces fresh in-house daily, as well as its award-winning salads and some of the coldest draft beer in town. One of its signature pizzas is the Landry Special, which is made with pepperoni, hamburger, shrimp, onions and jalapenos.

Shangri-La serves up Japanese sushi and Chinese stir fry options for every palate like its popular Crunchy Lafayette Roll with crab mix, avocado, and asparagus topped with crunchies and sweet and spicy sauces; the Cajun Cowboy made with crawfish, crab mix and avocado topped with seared filet mignon, green onions and masago; and the Flying Crawfish Roll crafted with crawfish, cream cheese, jalapenos, and tempura that is topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo.

Old-fashioned chicken and sausage gumbo is the main attraction at Vermilionville’s very own circa-1800s style café (open to the public, not just to the museum’s visitors), which offers a full menu of Cajun and Creole dishes as well as a daily plate lunch special. The café also offers a Friday seafood buffet that features savory seafood cornbread, stuffed catfish, shrimp and egg stew and crawfish étouffée along with a delectable bread pudding, fruit cobblers and other home-style desserts.

Villager’s Café offers an old time, rustic atmosphere with its old wood-framed building and screened front porch along with an inner decor that offers a quaint yet charming country setting. The menu offers simple, yet delectable items including its fair share of poboys like its shrimp poboy with tender, yet succulent shrimp fried to a golden brown crisp and topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and encased in a french bread bun.

Downtown Lafayette’s very own authentic German-style gastropub offers a colorful, open-air atmosphere with a constantly rotating selection of German and European beers, local and domestic beers and draught wine. The Wurst features a traditional European biergarten menu items with a bit of Cajun flair like its boudin grilled cheese and Wurst Egg Roll Ever, which is an egg roll styled after a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut, corned beef and swiss.
