Downtown Alive! welcomes the king of zydeco, Keith Frank for the annual UL Homecoming Pep Rally in Parc Sans Souci on Nov. 4. Keith Frank has zydeco flowing through his blood, born and raised with Creole musicians filling his family all the way back to the 1860s. Keith Frank has climbed to the top of the zydeco world and has become a spokesperson for the Creole community and a celebration of the Creole way of life. Downtown Alive! is still free to music lovers of all ages, however, we’ve teamed up with some of your other favorite free music festivals, Festival International de Louisiane and Festivals Acadiens et Creoles to remind fans: “The music is free because of me!”, please support these free events and purchase on-site.
