ASO taps Baker as new ED

The former Festival International executive director will assume the same role with the Acadiana Symphony.

The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra has named Dana Baker as its new executive director. Baker heads to the symphony from Townsquare Media where she administered special events and promotions. She formerly served as executive director of Festival International de Louisiane.

“Dana is well known and well respected in our community for the success she achieved while with Festival International, Townsquare Media, and the successful events she’s planned on her own,” says Brandon Hyde, ASO board president, in a release announcing the hire. “We are confident that her experience and skill set will be a tremendous asset to our organization and I am personally excited about the direction she can take our organization by building on what we’ve already created and bringing in new ideas and energy.”
