This Wednesday, the Acadiana Center for the Arts presents a new perspective on jolly old St. Nick with Doktor Kaboom's Holiday Extravaganza: The Science of Santa.

The Doktor Kaboom holiday show showcases the assumption that science and magic are the same thing as the good Doktor declares that Mr. Claus is the world’s greatest scientist while using basic physics in an attempt to recreate all of Santa’s wonders.

Doktor Kaboom is an over-the-top German scientist with a passion for science that knows no bounds. Audiences are taken on an educational, and humorous, tour of the modern scientific method. Join Doktor Kaboom for his sidesplitting journeys of increasingly and often successful science experiments designed to involve, excite, educate and entertain.

Doktor Kaboom's Holiday Extravaganza: The Science of Santa will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Downtown Lafayette. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for children. For more details, visit AcadianaCenterfortheArts.org.
