The Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation will honor the local heroes of the August flood relief effort during its January 2017 luncheon, which will take place Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Acadian Companies Training Auditorium at 2916 N. University Ave.

August 2016 will long be remembered in Acadiana for the historic flooding that affected so many in the community. Upper Lafayette will take the opportunity to honor the heroes among us who stepped up to assist others who were in great need of a helping hand.

Tony Credeur, a longtime leader in disaster efforts serving 40 years with the Red Cross and now with Catholic Services of Acadiana, will be the featured speaker.

Tickets to the event are $25 each or $200 for a reserved table for eight. Register online at UpperLafayette.com.
