Women’s & Children’s Hospital joins Uniglobe Associated Travel to sponsor the 2017 show.
More grooms pop the question during the Christmas holidays than any other time of the year. Valentine’s Day runs a close second, which makes March the ideal time for the annual IND Media bridal show. This year’s premier prenuptial planning event in Acadiana is slated for Sunday afternoon on March 19. Thanks to a new app, sponsored by Women’s & Children’s Hospital, time spent at the show will be more efficient than ever for busy brides-to-be.
The app will take both vendors and prospective brides “beyond the booth” to create a digital goodie bag that is both instant and interactive. In a series of clicks, brides and their entourage can search, shop and pin the show vendors they like. It gives brides the convenience of registering on a portable digital platform and eliminates the need for filling out countless sign-up forms as they tour the show. It also allows vendors to get instant feedback from attendees to improve their presentation, marketing and overall experience.
As the presenting sponsor of the app, the support of Women’s & Children’s Hospital makes this innovation possible. “Getting married is an exciting experience filled with hope, love and dreams for a lifetime together,” says Kathy Bobbs, president and chief executive officer for the hospital. “Women’s & Children’s Hospital is proud to sponsor the annual bridal show app and join in this exciting experience. When the newlyweds are ready to start a family of their own, we will be right here by their side, every step of the way to ensure that experience, too, is everything they dreamed.”
Uniglobe Associated Travel returns as presenting sponsor of the grand prize giveaway for the show. This year one lucky couple will win a trip to Couples Resort in Negril, Jamaica. Located on the island’s famous seven-mile white sand beach, the all-inclusive destination is famous for its romantic sunsets, award-winning cuisine, a full array of water sports and concierge accommodations. Every bride who registers for the show will be eligible to win this four-day, three-night getaway that includes airfare and ground transportation. The grand prize drawing will take place the day of the event, but the winner need not be present to win.
The average wedding today, exclusive of honeymoon, costs $26,536.
With an average attendance of almost 1,000, including 300-400 brides, the purchasing power at IND Media’s show is more than $10 million. Vendors value both the number of brides who attend and the business they book at the show, and the new app will only
enhance the return on that investment. Exhibitor space is filling up fast, and booths are assigned in the order they are sold. For more information, contact Sandi Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the INDevents line directly at (337) 769-8603.
