Acadiana’s fresh food movement gained three new platforms with the June 7 grand opening of the Acadiana Food Hub. There are three independent but allied businesses in the Hub, the brainchild of Zack McMath. The Food Hub is a cold storage and aggregation center for area farmers, the Commissary Kitchen is a commercial kitchen available to food prep entrepreneurs, and the Incubator Kitchen offers space for everything from product testing to recipe development. The Acadiana Food Hub is located at University Avenue’s intersection with Renaud Drive just north of I-10.
