Jindal: "I don't want to be VP"

by Nathan Stubbs

Gov. Bobby Jindal appeared on Sunday’s Meet the Press as a surrogate for Republican Presidential candidate John McCain. Jindal squared off in debate against Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, who represented Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama’s campaign. Both Jindal and Kaine were introduced as two governors who were “on the short list” to be tapped for their party’s vice presidential nomination. While Jindal seemed to hold his own against Kaine in debate, he seems to have closed the door for good on speculation he may be joining McCain on the Republican ticket. Jindal said “I don't want to be vice president” when asked repeatedly by David Gregory if he was open to the possibility. Watch the video here.
