Garrett Dupre, a 17-year-old senior at Ascension Episcopal School, aced the ACT exam, one of only five students in the state to score a perfect 36 during the 2007-2008 testing period.

More impressive is that Dupre is among the 162 students out of 410,000 nationally who took the test in June and got a perfect score.

Ascension Episcopal School has a temporary facility at 210 S. Morgan St. in Broussard (in the First Baptist Church) and is scheduled to relocate to its new high school in Youngsville's Sugar Mill Pond later this year.
