Cite des Arts’ production of the Hedwig & the Angry Inch begins its run tonight at 8:00 p.m. Hedwig & the Angry Inch, written by John Cameron Mitchell with music and lyrics are by Stephen Trask, is a musical about a fictional rock and roll band fronted by an East German transgender singer. This production is directed by Duncan Thistlethwaite and Cara Hayden with Cody Daigle and Sarah Gauthier starring in the lead roles of Hedwig and Yitzhak.

Because Hedwig & the Angry Inch contains adult language and content, this show is not considered appropriate for audiences under high school age. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. The play runs from September 26 through November 1 at Cite des Arts, located at 109 Vine Street in downtown Lafayette. For more information, call 291-1122.
