Louisiana’s premier wilderness photographer will canoe through the scenic Atchafalaya swamp, followed by a post-op critique session of photographs taken on the trip. If you are a nature or photography enthusiast and happen to be in the Baton Rouge area this week, you might want to sign up for C.C. Lockwood’s “Atchafalaya by Canoe” Workshop. Join Louisiana’s premier wilderness photographer for a canoe trip into the scenic Atchafalaya swamp, followed by a post-op critique session of photographs taken on the trip. It’ll be a magical boat ride with a master at the top of his craft.

The workshop is scheduled for October 18 and is open to all photographers at every level of expertise — from beginners to advanced — but there is a limit of 15, so reservations must be made. The cost is $290 per person. This includes the canoe trip, lecture, and critique session. You can sign up for the workshop by calling the Backpacker in Baton Rouge at 225.925.0777 or C.C. Lockwood’s office at 225.769.4766.
