Woman's Foundation would like to join the Lafayette Parish Bar Foundation and applaud the attorneys who provide pro bono work in our community.
Many of these attorneys not only provide pro bono work but also volunteer their time as presenters for Woman's Foundation's "Parents and the Law" program. Our program is offered to organizations that serve any population that may benefit from the expertise and experience of the volunteer attorneys and counselors who give their time. The presentations cover topics and laws associated with parenting. A few of the topics that are discussed are child custody laws, collecting child support, abuse and neglect, family life, and how laws affect minors.
The Parents and the Law is a success because of the volunteer efforts of the attorneys and counselors in our community who are dedicated to helping others.
