Students at the UL School of Architecture and Design are hard at work building the BeauSoleil Louisiana Solar Home. The school was selected as only one of 20 teams of university students to compete in the 2009 Solar Decathlon to take place in October 2009 in Washington, D.C. In the international competition, students must design, construct and operate an energy-efficient and attractive house that runs solely on solar power.
