Tip's Music Office Co-Op opens in Lafayette

Tipitina’s Foundation has just opened its latest Music Office Co-Op in Lafayette. The Lafayette office is the fifth Music Office Co-op to open in the state. Designed as a communal office space for musicians and other digital media artists, the co-ops provide members training on Pro Tools and Final Edit software, as well as a professional place to go to use the phone, pick up a fax, check email and more. Currently the Lafayette co-op offers has printers, a fax, a mac and 7 pcs up and ready to use for Garage Band (with MIDI keyboard), iMovie, Adobe Creative Suite, and more. The office soon plans to have Digidesign’s Pro Tools recoring software and Final Edit video editing software. Members pay a $10 a month fee for access to the co-op. The office is located at 510 Johnston St (behind Leather Pouch) and its hours are M-F 11am-7pm.
