Fund to help BK shooting victim's kids

by Leslie Turk

The Acadiana Republican Women have opened an account at MidSouth Bank to benefit the children of James N. Living Jr., who was shot to death last month at the Burger King on Evangeline Thruway, where he worked as a night manager. Living served four years in the Army and was working toward an associate degree in computer technology at Remington College.

“Board members of the Acadiana Republican Women were so shocked and truly saddened by this senseless killing that we decided to open the account and donate $1,000 to help with any education-related expenses for his three young children,” says ARW President Peggy Castille. “Mr. Living served his country and was working toward a better life for his family. We urge others in the community to join us in this effort.”

Donations can be made the James Nelson Living Jr. benefit account at any MidSouth Bank location. For more info, contact Castille at 262-1214 or Carol Ross at 984-5888.
