The Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) is looking to hire its first official Chief Executive Officer. Carolina Cruz, the center’s Chief Scientist, had previously acted in the CEO’s role, as executive director. She resigned from that position two weeks Nov. 19 in order to focus solely on the academic research side of the operation. Chief Operating Officer Henry Florsheim is currently serving as interim CEO. LITE’s Board of Commissioners has formed a CEO search committee, made up of Commissioners Bradd Clark and Jim Prince, as well as LITE createive director Marty Altman, UL Dean of Engineering Mark Zappi and another member yet to be appointed by the Lafayette Economic Development Authority. The Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) seeks a Chief Executive Officer. LITE is a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, consisting of a functional partnership between state and local governments, UL Lafayette, and private enterprise. Its purpose is to facilitate economic development and academic research revolving around state-of-the-industry 3-D visualization technologies, ultra high-performance computing, and a high-speed communication network for both business and research enterprises.
The successful candidate will have significant experience with managing a technology enterprise. The candidate must be a team builder with strong communication skills. Experience working with political entities, academic institutions, and private enterprises will be considered a plus. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
