Vitter's throwing another TEA party

What's a senator to do while he's blocking the nomination of the new head of FEMA and it's less than a month from hurricane season, The New York Times tells him to “get out of the way,” and he has a porn star running around reminding everyone about his “serious sin”? Well, if you're U.S. Sen. David Vitter, you start drumming up enthusiasm for another TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party. The Gambit reports that Vitter has sent out e-mails saying he's planning another TEA party for the 4th of July. He's looking for hosts, attendees, and donors. In his e-mail he writes:

25 days ago, we sent a message to Washington's liberal leaders by putting on TEA Parties across Louisiana. We told them loud and clear that we will not tolerate liberal politicians raising our taxes, and worse yet, wasting our money without producing results. ...

July 4th marks an important date in our nation's history. It is the day we celebrate America's freedom and independence from oppressive and narrow-minded leadership. Too many of Washington's liberal politicians have forgotten what it means to live in a free country where citizens have the right to own a business, work hard and provide for their family – without the government taking nearly half their income and deciding how it should be spent. ...
