Fiber revenue up 31 percent in July

by Nathan Stubbs

LUS Fiber continues to steadily climb toward its stated revenue goals for year one.
According to its latest monthly financial report, LUS Fiber generated $65,218.15 in retail sales for the month of July, a 31 percent increase over June's retail revenue of $49,612.48. The newly released July statement also reports monthly operating expenses holding relatively steady at $559,757.71, putting July's net operating revenue before depreciation and amortization at negative $494,539.56.

LUS remains tight-lipped about the specifics of its customer base and marketing strategy. However, as a public entity, it is held to a different standard when it comes to releasing its financial statements and overall business goals. The business has so far gotten off to a slower-than-anticipated rollout, but has since been rebounding with expanded coverage and personal door-to-door sales calls.  Last month, LUS Director Terry Huval told The Independent the service was now available throughout all of its Phase 1 service area.
