It appears as if UL over-reacted and The Pine Leaf Boys are acting like rotten kids ("The Sound of Silence," April 6). The bottom line seems to be that [the band] didn't follow the rules, the UL cop threw his authority around, UL administration offered what seems to be a decent solution (especially after they found out how poorly it had been handled) and the "boys" declined to participate because it was not "their way." Boo-hoo, welcome to the real world. I am in favor of providing cultural experiences to the masses, but it needs to be in accordance with the rules and laws just like everyone else.
