FBI: Agents thwart Marygate

A filmmaker whose undercover videos in Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now offices last year helped turn political will against ACORN has been arrested with three others for allegedly attempting to wire tap U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu’s New Orleans office, according to The Times-Picayune.

Filmmaker James O’Keefe, Joseph Basel, Stan Dai and Robert Flanagan, the son of Bill Flanagan of Shreveport — who is the acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of Louisiana — were arrested by FBI agents. All four men are in their mid-20s. They are charged with entering federal property under false pretenses with intent to commit a felony, according to U.S. Attorney Jim Letten of the Eastern District of Louisiana. Read the full story here.
