Lunopolis, a sci-fi faux documentary by Lafayette filmmakers Matthew Avant and Sonny Maynor, received rave reviews from fans of the genre following its world premiere recently at the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival.

The movie follows two documentary filmmakers (Avant and Maynor) who stumble on "the greatest moon secret the world has never known, and the powerful organization determined to keep it secret." As film's title implies, that secret involves a city on the dark side of the moon populated by humans from the future who control events here on earth. Lunopolis manages to weave together virtually every conspiracy theory that has captivated mankind for the last two thousand years or so. Avant also wrote and directed the movie.
