BONERBORNE
Anders Osborne + Bonerama = Anderama. Or Bonerborne. You decide. Freedom of choice. It's America, baby. Good music is good music. Grant Street hosts a night of New Orleans music. Grammy-winning songwriter Anders Osborne was a traveling troubadour from Sweden, hankering and twanging in his mind on a mountain when he somehow ended up in New Orleans, playing anthem-worthy roots rock - New Orleans-informed, but with a quasi worldwide scope of sorts. Bonerama play the fatback funk and bacon crusted groove crunk. Funk, jam, or rock, whatever you want to call it - when Bonerama play a lot people tend to show up and throw down. Anders Osborne and Bonerama play Grant St. on June 10. And Geno Delafose plays the following night on June 11.

NATHAN RICE
Musician, skater, metalhead, offshore worker. What else can you use to describe Nathan Rice? How about "flamenco guitarist?" Yeah! Dude fooled around and fell in love with the whole flamenco style around 2005. Since then, he's been messing around, mixing up the rumba with the rasgueado of fast strumming and BOOMout comes a new monster with Nathan's name on it. It's like magic. "I have yet to find anyone else besides myself playing this style in Lafayette and hopefully I can inspire other guitar players out there to learn the flamenco," says Rice. "I have big plans with this music." He just recently started playing out, so go catch Nathan Rice with Rex Moroux at Artmosphere on June 14.

12 STONES
12 Stones and It's Alive at Nitetown on June 13. Crank it up! You know what I mean. Rip off the sleeves, pulverize the brains, eat the mash potatoes, and go out to Nitetown to catch the mod-rock of 12 Stones and It's Alive.

MISSISSIPPI HILL COUNTRY
Cedric Burnside and Lightnin' Malcolm are both itching with the Mississippi hill country blues stuff. Cedric, the grandson of R.L. Burnside, has been called "one of the greatest drummers in the world." He's deep in the pocket. Lightnin' Malcolm is a slide player from Missouri. They teamed up around 2005 and are going on their third release of pork chop, ham hock, greasy backwoods blues. Go see them at Blue Moon on June 10.
