If you are a local writer who has authored a novel, memoir, or even a poem and you are interested in learning how to get it published, you can attend the monthly meeting of the Writer's Guild of Acadiana. This summer's topic of discussion is "Get Writing, Get Published." This gathering will focus on "How to Write a Query Letter."
The Writers Guild of Acadiana meets at the Barnes & Noble book store in Lafayette at 7 p.m. on June 29.
