LUS FIber is getting more aggressive in promoting its new fiber-to-the-home TV, phone and Internet service to Lafayette residents. LUS Fiber is now up on the air with a TV spot, and similar radio ads, that began running last week, according to LUS Director Terry Huval.

Responding to an email inquiring about the ad campaign, Huval says that the TV spot is running on two local network affiliates, and therefore should be up on all cable provider systems (including chief competitor Cox) that carry those channels. He writes, "it is a limited media buy now. We will be expanding this type of media promotion in the coming months." Huval has in the past explained that LUS Fiber has purposefully held back on a advertising as it was still rolling out its service, wanting to wait until it could get the most bang for its buck. LUS Fiber launched in February of last year. Huval says over 98 percent of the citywide buildout is now complete and the last remaining areas should be finished within the next six weeks.

The new LUS FIber ad stresses the business' local roots and its state-of-the-art fiber capabilities, touting the "fastest internet in town." The ad concludes, "invest in Lafayette and bring the world right to your door."
