Former UL Vice President of Student Affairs Raymond "Coach" Blanco, injured more than a week ago when he fell down a flight of stairs at a friend's home in New Orleans, was transferred to Lafayette General Medical Center on Monday. A family spokeswoman tells The Advocate that Blanco, husband to former Gov. Kathleen Blanco, is "making good progress." Blanco had been hospitalized at Tulane Medical Center.
