The progressive Cajun band is getting the recognition it deserves.
Good news on the musical home front for the Lafayette indie Cajun, roots band Feufollet. Their latest record, En Couleurs, has been selected as one of the Top of the World 10 releases in the the European publication Songlines Magazine. The next quarterly issue comes out in October and will be the official WOMEX (World Music Expo) edition given out to thousands of delegates during their next conference. This is no small achievement for a hard-working Louisiana Cajun band. Some of the past artists nominated for Top of the World releases include Salif Keita, Youssou NDor, Angelique Kidjo, Ali Farka Toure, Los Lobos, Pink Martini and many other world class musical acts.
