Museum of Fear returns

A toxic fog has descended upon Lafayette, and now the morgues are filling up faster than bodies can get under ground. A toxic fog has descended upon Lafayette, and now the morgues are filling up faster than bodies can get under ground.

Luckily, the Smiley Face Boudin company has volunteered to take in the overflow. Never heard of Smiley Face? It's the local company that uses a "special Cajun ingredient" in all its products. Thursday through Saturday nights during October, you can tour the Smiley Face facility located on the third floor of the Lafayette Science Museum located at 433 Jefferson St.

Just wait to eat until after you leave.

This year's "Museum of Fear" is even better than last year's. Still, there are some who actually treat it like an exhibit. They like to peruse the props, watch all the scenes intently and look the actors in the eyes. Those who go anticipating a good scare, however, are likely to find it in the dark corridors of the Smiley Face factory.

Tickets are available at McDonald's locations throughout Acadiana for $6 and at the museum. The Museum of Fear is open from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m.
