Tonight's the night. After two long years of construction, the new theatre wing of the Acadiana Center for the Arts opens with a ribbon cutting, tour and, of course, cocktails.

Tonight's the night. After two long years of construction, the new theater wing of the Acadiana Center for the Arts opens tonight with a ribbon cutting, tour and, of course, cocktails. Following the celebration is the first of over a week's worth of events. Rhythmic Circus, a Broadway-bound tap dance phenomenon backed by the funky stylings of a seven-piece band is performing Feet Don't Fail Me Now! Don't miss the is a high energy percussive dance set to a variety of musical genres spanning funk to salsa.

The ribbon cutting takes place at 6 p.m. and is free to the public. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., tickets are $15-20. If you can't make it tonight, Rhythmic Circus will repeat the performance on Friday, 7:30 p.m.
